Ayre fish is a medium sized catfish that is popularly called Aar machh in Bengali. This is a single bone fish and is extremely fleshy. BD Ayre fish is cut into blocks, cleaned and then packed, sealed and frozen. These fishes can be used to cook a spicy, Bengali fish curry called Aar Machher Kosha.
